Dog Sitting w/ Prince

So we picked up Prince for his weekend retreat at the Greyhound Spa (aka our house, also known as the zoo) last night.

Barb and Dean seem to get along no problem. They were excited to see another greyhound that could actually run around with them!

Adjusting to the house has been a bit difficult for Prince. He is the lone pup in his domain so sharing things are new to him. He is also a bit of a crier. Even when we're in the room he cries and howls. It got so bad last night that I ended up sleeping on the couch with him balled up next to me.

I think he is stating to calm down, he stopped whining for now, we shall see how the day progresses. I'm glad that I can be home all day today to make sure he is adjusting.

Okay so I guess i should update this once and a while.

What's been going on...

Umm

Barb and Dean are great. Loving the yard and all the attention. They both battled some health issues early this year, but seem to have rebounded nicely.

Dean's personality has really started to shine through. When we first got him he was shy and didn't seem to care about us that much. Now he is so needy and affectionate.

However with the needy behavior comes the whining and howling. He cries if we go to take a nap or leave him for any period of time.

We are dog-sitting another greyhound starting tonight. We are watching Prince for the weekend. Should be interesting. Dean isn't too much into playing, but Barb is dying for a playmate. Prince seems to be more energetic and engaging than Dean. We shall see how they all interact.
